Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge users on Verizon network are receiving a new firmware update. The update installs the April security patch and is being rolled out over the air.

The Verizon Galaxy S7 units are receiving the update as build number G930VVRU4BQA4 while the update arrives as build number G935VVRU4BQA4 to Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge devices. It brings the latest monthly security patch.

Other than the April security patch, the update also tags along a coupe of new features. It updates the Amazon Shopping app bringing it to version 8.1.1. Also, with the update comes support for Verizon’s One Talk which allows you to connect your office and mobile devices with one number.

Verizon details that ‘this software update (for both Galaxh S7 and S7 Edge) provides the latest enhancements for Enterprise customers’. The Samsung Knox mobile security platform is also installed with the new update.

To check for the update manually, go to Settings > About device > System updates. But before hitting the download button it is advisable to connect your device to a WiFi network and get it at least 50 percent charged.
