Verizon Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge get OTA update with July security patch and bug fixes

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge on Verizon network are receiving a new software update. The update installs latest monthly security patch and is being rolled out as we speak.

Verizon Galaxy S7 is receiving the update as build number G935VVRU4BQG1 while the update is hitting Verizon Galaxy S7 Edge as build number G930VVRU4BQG1. This software update brings July security patch.

The update also tags along bug fixes and as per the changelog brings ‘Email app improvements for Knox Business and Enterprise users’. The latest update also ensures ‘optimal performance and information security’.

As is the case with OTA updates, it may take a while to hit your Samsung device. Alternately you can check for the update manually by heading to Settings > About device > System update. As we always recommend, before hitting the download button ensure that your smartphone is at least 50 percent charged and connected to a WiFi network.
