Update: Full firmware of PD2 build, flashable via Odin, now available at the firmwar epages linked below, both for Verizon S6 and S6 Edge.

There is a nice update rolling out for the Verizon Galaxy S6 and S6 edge users, one that does more than bringing in ‘Google security’ measures as the T-Mobile Galaxy S7 update did earlier today.

With builds G920VVRU4CPD2 and G925VVRU4CPD2 for S6 and S6 edge respectively, you get more than a couple of changes with the update, which mainly aims at fixing the Google Play app’s issues with app downloads and updates. The update also adds Google search to Settings, and makes handling video calls easier by using the earpiece as your choice of audio output during video calls. The Amazon app gets a kick out of the arena, while opting for File Transfers is darn easier now thanks to this option becoming available as soon as you plug in USB cable into these two devices.

The image at the top reflects full changelog for the PD2 update, which as expected, runs on Android 6.0.1. And until Android N drops by, this is as much cool an update as you can get. Right?

There’s enough in this update to make you go for it right away, and for that, take a look in Settings, in About device section and try to grab the update from there.

For now, you have to wait for the OTA update to drop on your device, until firmware becomes available — and when it does, be sure to check out our firmware pages provided below to download and install the update manually, without waiting for the OTA.
