Verizon became the first telecom company to launch world’s first ever commercial 5G Home Broadband Internet service back in October 2018 with 4 cities given a nod at that time: Houston, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Indianapolis.

Now, Verizon is set to launch its 5G services in two more cities, Chicago and Minneapolis, on April 11. With that said Verizon is also bringing the new 5G Moto Mod, which is also an exclusive for Verizon.

This Moto Mod, when paired with the Moto Z3 smartphone — a Verizon exclusive — will let you access 5G network at Verizon. Verizon chief technology officer, Kyle malady said “continuing our track record of 5G firsts we are thrilled to bring the first 5G upgradeable smartphone exclusively for Verizon customers.”

Verizon also shared the release date of 5G Moto Mod, stating that it goes on pre-order from March 14.

Preorders for the Verizon’s 5G Moto Mod will begin March 14, which will include a $50 special offer as the Moto Mod has a retail value of $349.99.

Verizon also plans to launch its 5G mobility services in more than 30 US cities later this year.
