LG Optimus, which we’ve already seen hitting stores of Verizon, T-mobile and Sprint, is now US Cellular’s baby too, beginning Dec 13. But ask us the catch, and we’ve no doubt it’s the price, which after the $80 rebate, is reduced to Nil. Yes.

The phone has a tradition of being named after the carrier it’s launching with, and it’s no different with the USCC guys too, who’re calling it LG Optimus U.

As for what’s to be expected in the package, there is a 3.2 inch capacitive display phone running android 2.2 atop, and packing in 3.2 megapixel camera along with 2 GB external card, expandable up to 32 GB.

Without any doubt, the LG Optimus is a very good entry level android phone with virtually no burden on your pocket. If you’re looking for one, we recommend it, totally. Check with your fav carrier!

And in case you want the physical qwerty keyboard too, LG apex at USCC is probably your best buddy, the price being just $80.
