Soon after the launch of the current flagship smartphone One M9, Taiwan based HTC announced that the One M8 and several other devices will be receiving the Sense 7 UI. But, the specific time frame of when the update will be rolled out to the handset was not made clear.

Now, HTC has taken it to Twitter to confirm the roll out of the Android 5.1 Lollipop and Sense 7 via an update to the One M8 smartphone this August. The Sense 7 UI went official alongside the One M9 smartphone early last month at the MWC 2015 tech show.

The roll out of this update to the HTC One M9 in the coming months will make the yesteryear flagship smartphone competent enough with the latest flagship devices with both Sense 7 UI and Android 5.1 Lollipop.

This information was let out by the official HTC UK Twitter account and hence, there are possibilities for this update to the restricted only to the UK users of One M8. We need to wait for HTC to announce the details of when the update will be rolled out in the other markets.
