Do you remember the Samsung Galaxy XCover series, or even the fact that it’s a series of Samsung’s rugged phones? Samsung used the Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S5 Active for those who wanted rugged devices, and being based on current flagship, both these device had strong liking. But for that reason only, they were pretty costly offerings. It looks like Samsung has realized that, and hence, is looking forward to bring back the XCover series.
What we have in the leaks department today is XCover 3, both specs and images of which are available for your keen eye. XCover 3 will be a very budget level hard-core device, capable of very well fighting the drops, water and dust.
Samsung Galaxy XCover specifications that we know so far, include a Marvell Armada PXA1908 quad-core processor — don’t worry, we’re hearing for the first time, too! — along with 1GB RAM in service. It would be housing 8GB of internal storage, and there should be place for microSD card, too, but you know, like all of this, that too is unconfirmed.
Moreover, Galaxy XCover 3 will snap up the pics from wildest of environments with its 5MP camera, and in case you do wanna click a selfie, there a 2MP service awaiting your face.
Things remain uninteresting if you don’t talk about display, right? Well, XCover 3 will have a 4.8-inch display, with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. Yep, it sounds mediocre specs-wise, because it is so, but it is also meant to be so, no?
The thing here is how tough the device is, which it quite looks like one. Look at those three buttons, man!
Anyone interested in a rugged device from Samsung, with that mediocre of a specsheet. No, not our readers!
