Only a day after rolling out Android Oreo to the U.S. unlocked Galaxy Note 8, Samsung has started rolling out the same OS to the unlocked Galaxy S8 and S8+.

Carrier variants of the Galaxy S8 twins started getting Oreo ahead of the Note 8, but the latter’s unlocked model got the nod ahead of the former. The good side of the story is that it hasn’t taken Samsung long to welcome the unlocked S8 and S8+ to the party, which is a good thing.

As of this writing, a good number of Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ users of the unlocked models can confirm that Android Oreo is rolling out over the air. These variants have model numbers SM-G950U1 and SM-G955U1 and since it’s an OTA update, it may take a few days before all units get the new software.

You can as well skip the line by trying to force the update via Settings > About phone and download the update manually.
