Android One devices being Google’s own spec’d down version of Nexus devices, enjoy great developer support like Nexus phones does. And why not? These devices are designed to be developer friendly.

The General Mobile GM 5 Plus (a 3rd Gen. Android One phone) has just received an unofficial build of TWRP recovery 3.0.2-0. The build is currently in testing, and still awaits user feedback at the time of this writing. But we’re pretty confident that it’ll work just fine.

With TWRP recovery now available for the GM 5 Plus, rooting the device is a piece of cake. You can simply flash the latest stable SuperSU zip (v2.65) from recovery install menu and have your GM 5 Plus rooted.
