Unbound Cavern Campaign Walkthrough

In Where Winds Meet, Unbound Cavern is a "Lost Chapter" quest campaign. It is unlocked automatically in Chapter 2: Universal Furnace, during the Accident main quest. It's a long quest but one that rewards generously, both materially and in terms of story progression. So without further ado, let's begin.

Location

Unbound Cavern takes place in Kaifeng City during Chapter 2 of the main story. The exact location is given below.

Walkthrough

Step 1

In Chapter 2 Universal Furnace, progress through the Accident main quest. Just before Uncovered Campaign comes Wheeling and Dealing quest.

Step 2

Head to the Ash Pit.

Once there, eavesdrop on the government soldiers

Drop down into the Ash Pit.

Step 3

Examine the marks on the ground which will be revealed as Little Fu's footprints.

Drop down further to the Underground Sewers

Talk to 'The Listener'.

Step 4

Then move deeper into the subterranean sewer.

Along the way, you'll find more footprints.

Step 5

To the right of the fire will be a chest. Further up, drop down the hole in the ground.

Step 6

Talk to the Bell Ringer who will give you Fu's location.

Go through the hole next to the fire. Grab the chest on the way.

Step 7

Continue along the dark sewers until you get to the Unbound Cavern Members.

Clear out the enemies and unlock the Unbound Cavern as a new teleport waypoint.

Free The Nine Mortal Ways Disciple on the ground.

He will tell you where the Ghost Revelry Hall is and give you a key. Open the gate on the right.

Step 8

Follow the red lanterns until you get to the gate. Defeat the guards and open the gate.

Step 9

After the cutscene, defeat the enemies before you.

After the first wave, you will encounter the Aureate Bell Bearer and his thugs. Clear them out.

After that, you'll come up against Ge Feng.

Step 10

After the fight, go up to the stage and talk to the woman there.

Next, you have to find the Dark Room. Start by going to the second floor on the right.

You will come across a door that is locked from the inside.

Move further down the corridor and open the door to the left.

Step 11

Go left and round the second floor. You will come across a door with a singing voice coming through it. Open it.

You are now in the Dark room.

Here, you will face the Faceless (no pun intended).

Step 12

After defeating the Faceless, talk to the frightened girl in the corner.

Step 13

Then make your way to the 'Human Market'. Open the gate there and you'll be back in the sewers.

Follow the path, drop down into the sewers, eliminate the thugs and go through the gate to the left of the locked gate.

Step 14

Look out for the low ground in the dark and drop through the hole into the water.

Crouch below the gate and pass through to the next cut scene.

Step 15

Once you're in the Human Market, clear the enemies there.

Get to the high ground and approach Lord Xiao. Defeat his thugs.

Step 16

Push through the door on the right and enter the prison depths.

Drop down the hole and fight the enemy there. Then move toward the crates and squeeze through them.

Step 17

Defeat more enemies. If you like you can simply run past them and jump off the ledge.

Step 18

On the platform, you'll come up against Zhuxie Gule, a formidable foe.

Zhuxie Gule's fight involves shooting the bird after he performs the unblockable attack. If you're too slow, Zhuxie will restore his health. Once he loses, he'll smote the ground, causing you to fall.
