In Where Winds Meet, 'Thousand Miles A Day' is one of the Wandering Tales side quest. It involves a medicine peddler selling a potion that supposedly helps students ace exams, a kid looking to pass his exams, and an angry Aunt who takes the peddler to the cleaners. Here's how to complete it.
Location and How to Start
The side quest takes place in Apricot Village, Grains of Plenty, in Kaifeng region.
The nearest waypoint is Apricot Village.
To start the quest, go to the location above and talk to the Medicine Peddler.
Walkthrough
Step 1
Go to Apricot Village and talk to the Medicine Peddler standing on one side of the bridge.
Step 2
He will try to sell his Progression Powder potion by claiming that it's helped many students from Taiping Academy pass the Imperial Medical Academy in the past.
After the conversation, steal the potion using Celestial Seize.
Step 3
Go to Zhai Chuan's house nearby.
Talk to Zhai Chuan about the potion and then give it to him.
Step 4
At night, return to the Peddler, who would have bruisers from having been beaten by Zhai Chuan's aunt. He will tell that Zhai Chuan ended up taking all the potion that we stole and gave to him, who took all of it and which worked like a laxative in big doses. After finding out, the aunt gave the medicine peddler a hammering. Ask him what the potion is made of.
He will tell it's made of ground Rhubarb, a herb.
Step 5
Next, return to Zhai Chuan. Don't go at night since he would still be sick. Return to the next night.
Then talk to him to finish the quest.
