Folks in the Google Pixel camp are a bit anxious with respect to the next-gen Google Pixel 3 handsets and apparently, some images alleged to be of the larger Pixel 3 XL have just appeared on a random XDA forums post.
Moree images of the rumored Pixel 3 XL handset have further been published by XDA developers showcasing the device from all angles possible, thus giving us a hint of what Google is working on. Not so long ago, alleged screen protectors of the phone appeared online and looking at the newly leaked images, the two are a perfect match.
The glass-made back panel seems to have minor tweaks compared to the Pixel 2 XL, where you’ll also notice what looks like a new sensor that appears between the camera and flash. Speaking of which, the ongoing craze about dual and triple-lens cameras may leave Pixel 3 XL fans a little disappointed in the fact that Google may stick to a single-lens camera system. On the brighter side, we’ve always seen how good Google can be with its Camera software, so this shouldn’t be a big deal. The presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner also suggests that Google might not be ready for in-display fingerprint scanning technology.
The top of the device doesn’t have a lot to showcase, but noticeably missing is the 3.5mm audio jack. There’s a USB-C port on the bottom side with a SIM card slot beside it and the volume and power buttons keep their place on the side, just like on the Pixel 2 XL. The dreaded notch is present on the front and it houses two lenses, probably one will be used for Face ID-like stuff. The bottom also has a significant chin, but the better part is that it houses a front-facing speaker.
The bootloader further adds weight to the fact that this is a Pixel 3 XL thanks to the mention of crosshatch, a codename that has popped up before.

Given that Google is expected to unveil the Pixel 3 family in Q4 2018 – or perhaps earlier – we should get to see more of these in the weeks to come.
