The Outer Worlds 2 - Beginning at the Endpoint Walkthrough

The Beginning at the Endpoint quest is triggered during the main storyline quest called On the Trail of the Traitor. As you progress through this central quest, you receive a Writ of Investigative Inquiry that allows you to enter the Zyranium Manufactory VII in Golden Ridge. Presenting this writ at the factory gate begins Beginning at the Endpoint, sending you on a deeper investigation into a sabotage that is linked to the main plot.

Beginning at the Endpoint: Location

Beginning at the Endpoint takes place in the Zyranium Manufactory VII.

Beginning at the Endpoint: Step-by-step guide

Present your Writ of Investigative Inquiry at the entrance, then speak with Factor Métadier to gain access to the facility's core areas.

Make your way through the guard station and use the lift to enter the factory's depths. Enter the decontamination chamber and once the process finishes, meet Proctor Svoboda.

Proceed to Operations and examine the area and fallen troopers. If you have Observation 5 or Medical 5, you can uncover extra details about the incident. Otherwise, skip this step and contact Initiate Alva via the intercom to continue.

Proceed to the Records Repository room and interact with the book on the table.

Return to Initiate Alva and speak with her — she’ll direct you to investigate Refinement Logistics and Central Processing next.

Use the lift and proceed to the Central Processing room.

Clear out the Verachnids in front of Central Processing room, then speak with Archivist Conkling.

After speaking with Archivist Conkling, enter the room and examine the wires at the far end to complete the objective.

Take the lift back down to the Records Repository area, then use the nearby lift to reach the Refinement Logistics area.

Beware of Zyranium poisoning near the decayed zones. Jump onto the large box, then climb across the platforms to navigate the gaps and reach the Refinement Logistics room safely.

Examine the Zyranium Venting Pressure in the Refinement Logistics room to complete the objective.

Head back to Operations and speak with Initiate Alva. After Proctor Svoboda is confronted, examine her office terminal for additional clues.

Go to the Toxic Effluvium Repository and inspect the terminal to complete the quest.
