The quest A Refreshing Bit of News begins in Fairfield, at the City Hall, where you overhear an argument between Minister Milverstreet and Officer Kaur, each proposing different solutions to an ongoing conflict. Choosing to side with Milverstreet initiates this quest while locking you out of Kaur’s Above and Beyond Repair.

This event typically occurs after the main quest The Saboteur of Paradise. Niles will direct you to Milverstreet, who tasks you with traveling west to the Ministry of Accuracy on Paradise Island to gather data on mental refreshment for him.

"Minister D.B. Milverstreet of Fairfield has asked you to visit the Ministry of Accuracy and locate information on a Protectorate procedure known as "Mental Refreshment". Trooper Silang, a grafted trooper, was previously sent to do the same job. Aiding Milverstreet should help you get into the Vox Relay."

A Refreshing Bit of News starts at the Fairfield town house.

After starting the quest, you’ll be directed to the Ministry of Accuracy, a facility on the west coast of the island.

A Refreshing Bit of News: Step-by-step guide

Head to Town Hall in Fairfield, listen to the dispute between Milverstreet and Officer Kaur, and choose to support Milverstreet to trigger the quest.

Locate the Ministry of Accuracy on the map in the locations section above, and head there. Be cautious — Raptidon Spitters guard the facility’s entrance.

Enter the main building and talk to Trooper Silang inside.

Continue deeper into the building, fighting through the Raptidons. Climb the ladder to the first floor and use the terminal there to obtain an Euphoria ARC Pass.

After acquiring the Pass, climb the ladder to the second floor, then use the pipes to climb up and reach the third floor.

Go straight ahead and drop down to the left, then descend further into the hole leading to the terminal where you can complete the objective.

Head back to the Town Hall in Fairfield and speak with the Minister to complete the quest.
