Location of the Loss We Carry quest
Find Toku at the Prospector's Camp by the Nupur River in the northeastern corner of the Yotei Grasslands. Toku and his companion, Shino the bear will ask you to help recover a special Charm sold to a scavenger, Taro.
Phase I: Meet Toku and recover his charm
Step 1: Meet Toku
As you pass by the Serpent's Pass near Nupur River, you will locate a camp with a bear and a man. Go over and interact with them. You will meet Toku and Shino the bear. He will explain about Mari and her story. Accept his wish will officially begin the "The Loss We Carry" side tale.
Step 2: Locate Taro, the scavenger
Once you accept Toku's request, head northeast from the camp where you'll find Taro, often near the Tokachi Range. If you’ve met him before, he may even approach your campsite.
Step 3: Purchase the Charm
Prepare to spend at least 400 Coin to buy back Toku's Charm of Blessings from Taro. Speak with him and agree to the trade to retrieve the Charm.
Phase II: Completing the quest with Toku
Step 3: Find the Monument Tree and Mari's grave
Move west toward Yubari Lake in the Tokachi Range to locate the Monument Tree.
Step 4: Interact with Mari's Father and her grave
When you reach the grave, you will find outlaws. Defeat the outlaws and it triggers a dialogue with Mari's father. As Mari’s grave lies here, interact with the grave and lay the Charm as Toku requested.
Step 5: Return to Toku’s camp
Go back to Toku in Serpent’s Pass. After a conversation about the charm and his true intentions, Toku will depart, entrusting his bear, Shino, to you.
Step 6: Feed the bear for a hidden reward
After Toku leaves, interact with Shino by the empty food bowl at camp. Feed the bear several times. Doing so will prompt Shino to lead you to a hidden spot containing the Untamed Loyalty weapon kit.
