Beginning the quest in Husko Kotan

To start, visit Husko Kotan in Nyaro Wilds and speak with Huci. The quest begins after she leaves for an area by Nayoro Falls. Catch up with her there to progress the story, and you’ll be introduced to her friend Kaeka, who explains her home was robbed.

How to complete the quest step by step

Step 1

Talk to Huci at Husko Kotan. She will explain the theft and ask you to join her on the trail toward Nayoro Falls.

Step 2

Follow Huci along the path until she introduces you to Kaeka. Huci believes Kaeka or her husband might know something about the missing bark strips.

Step 3

Investigate Kaeka’s home. Cross the river to speak to her husband, then search the house for wooden block carvings and bark fragments. These serve as early clues about the thief’s path.

Step 4

Return outside and speak with Kaeka once more. The conversation reveals tensions between the villagers and hints that someone close to them may have betrayed their trust.

Follow Huci again as she leads you through a forest trail. The route takes you down slopes and across uneven terrain toward the lower ravine.
