Where to find the Prismatic Pickaxe
The pickaxe is located in a frozen lake on Island 3, near the NPC Bjorn. Here’s how to get there:
Step 1
Teleport to the Frostspire Expanse map (Island 3).
Step 2
Use the cannon to the left of the NPC named Ice Man to launch yourself high up the mountain.
Step 3
Once you reach the top of the mountain, head left and drop down until you reach a large frozen lake with a noticeable circular hole in the ice.
Step 4
Jump into the hole and swim all the way down to the very bottom of the lake. At the bottom, you’ll see a massive Mosasaurus frozen inside thick, translucent ice, and deep inside that ice block is the Prismatic Pickaxe itself.

How to get Prismatic Pickaxe
The pickaxe is encased in multiple layers of very thick ice, so you can’t just break it with any tool. You need a pickaxe that deals at least 320 base damage to start chipping away at it.
Here are the pickaxes that can break the ice (minimum requirement):
- Snow Pickaxe – 320 base damage, costs 750,000 gold (cheapest option)
- Frost Pickaxe – Higher damage, costs 1,000,000 gold (faster mining)
- Void Pickaxe – Even stronger, costs 1,350,000 gold (fastest option)
Once you have the pickaxe, return to the hidden spot and break through the ice to access and purchase the Prismatic Pickaxe.
