To begin this quest, head to the marked spot in Moonveil Mountain, Qinghe, and speak with Elder Jiang as he shares stories with the children gathered around him.

Walkthrough

Follow the steps below to complete the Tales That Soar quest:

Step 1

Speak with Elder Jiang as he tells a story to the children gathered around him.

Step 2

Speak with Yang Cun, who is standing right beside Elder Jiang.

Step 3

Head to Encircling Lake and speak with Yang Cun again, where he’ll give you three objectives.

Step 4

Investigate the three marked clue spots, then return to Yang Cun and speak with him.

Step 5

Head to Finesteed Hamlet, speak with Yang Cun first, then talk to Mu Jiren to begin the Gift of Gab.

Step 6

Defeat Mu Jiren in the Gift of Gab to progress.

Step 7

Head to Sage’s Knoll and speak with Yang Cun there.

Step 8

Climb to the mountain peak and speak with Yang Cun; after he falls, carefully jump across the large gap and talk to him again as he sits on the edge.

Step 9

Use the in-game clock to advance the time by at least two days.

Step 10

Head over to Yang Cun and eavesdrop on his conversation with the children to complete the quest.
