TAG Heuer, a much referenced brand in luxury watches, stepped into the Android Wear smartwatch bandwagon with the TAG Heuer Connected launched way back in 2015. The company has decided to take it a notch higher with the release of its second-generation smartwatch with next-generation Google OS, the Android Wear 2.0. This could be much sooner than we expected, in fact, as early as March this year.
As per industry sources, the exact timeframe for the release of the TAG wearable named Tag Connected Modular is March 14, 2017. As the name suggests, the Modular Android Wear from the Swiss maker will come with customizable lugs giving users the luxury to swap the straps and clasps according to convenience. Apart from this, the smartwatch will carry the option of switching the digital wear to a traditional one.
There’s no price details on the 2017 Tag Heuer Connected as of yet. But keeping the cost of original one in mind coupled with the upgraded Android Wear 2.0 OS, the new TAG Connected watch will cross the $1,500 mark.
