T-Mobile seems to be pushing a new update to Samsung’s three-year-old Galaxy Grand Prime.
Arriving with the build G530TUVU2AQE3, the update installs the May security patch on the handset. The OTA weighs around 96.56MB in size so downloading it on cellular data shouldn’t be a big problem.
Do note that the update is still based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and we don’t see the smartphone receiving an update to Nougat or even the Marshmallow anytime soon.
Anyway, moving ahead, with the update, you’ll get the much-needed security improvements which will get rid of vulnerabilities if any.

On top of that, expect to see several fixes for the bugs existing in the previous build alongside system and performance improvements.
The update is currently being rolled over-the-air and could reach your handset anytime. In case you don’t want to play the waiting game, simply head to Settings > About Device > Software Update to manually download the latest security patch.
