We let you know earlier that the Galaxy Note Edge is receiving the Marshmallow update at T-Mobile, and now we’re seeing the update shelling out for the Note 4 users as well. That’s not very surprisingly actually, given how close the device are to one another, what is good to see is that the Note 4 and Edge users are finally seeing the cool 6.0 update.

It’s only surprising that the Note 4 users are getting their share of Marshmallow even after a Blackberry device, the PRIV. Though the C-Spire Galaxy S6 too received the Marshmallow update only after a long wait than it should, some 10-11 days ago.

The Android 6.0.1 update for T-Mobile Note Edge comes with build no. N910TUVU2EPE3, and should be packing in some latest security patches too. That’s it about the changelog.

With the PE3 Marshmallow update, you get some serious performance improvements, as also cool 6.0-exclusive features like Doze mode (increases battery life), app permissions control (enable and disable permissions for the apps as and when you like) and new features called Now on Tap in Google Now (suggests you stuff based on information available on your current screen).

To install the update. go to Settings, and loo for the system update under the ‘About device’ section. If it’s not available right now, try again later. Normally, it takes a about a week or two for an updated to cover all all users.

BTW, if you want it right now, what you can do is install it manually. Download the firmware from the link provided below, and then install it using the guide provided thereat.
