Samsung Galaxy J3 (2017) is to be released soon in the US. The handset will be offered both as an unlocked version as well as a T-Mobile version, as both these variants have just been cleared at Wi-Fi Alliance, with certification ID WFA69907 and WFA69909.

The certificate with ID WFA69907 bears the model no. SM-J327U, which is the carrier-unlocked variant and the other certificate with ID WFA69909 bears the model no. SM-J327T, which is the T-Mobile variant.

Both are running on Android 7.0 Nougat, so even though the latest Android OS release is 7.1.1, it is incredible feature of the devices. Only other budget-level device that we know will run Nougat out of the box is the rumored Nokia Heart device, that the come-back brand’s first entry level Android device.

Both T-Mobile and unlocked Galaxy J3 2017 variants have frequency bands of 2.4 GHz which is indicative of 4G/LTE with possibility of VoLTE as well. Both should come with the latest security patches at the least.

And we speculate, it will come with Samsung Experience on top of Nougat instead of the older TouchWiz Grace UX. Anyway, it is a wait in patience, to see when Samsung launches the 2017 Galaxy J3 in the United States.
