Subliminal - Hidden Ending Walkthrough

As you walk down the hallway, instead of turning right toward the painting that leads to the Waterworks memory, continue straight ahead to discover a hidden gap in the wall. Inside, complete the color puzzles and survive the monster chase to complete the hidden ending.

Hidden ending step-by-step guide

When the basement door opens after the knocking sequence, head upstairs and press the erase button.

After pressing the Erase button, go back down and walk through the door at the base of the stairs.

Keep walking down the hallway, following the illuminated arrows on the walls until you reach the painting that leads to the Waterworks memory.

When you reach the final illuminated arrow pointing toward the painting, look to the left of the arrow — there’s a narrow, dark gap in the wall. That passage leads to the hidden ending.

After squeezing through the passage and moving forward, you’ll return to the painting, where the narrator will urge you to take a closer look. Ignore him and head straight into the dark passage once more until you reach the TV, which will transport you to the hidden ending memory.

Once you are inside the children's playhouse, keep going forward until you reach the colorful buttons puzzle.

For this puzzle, head back upstairs until you reach the dead end, then turn around and walk toward the colorful buttons. As you do, pay attention to the colors of the slides in the order you see them — the sequence may vary for each player.

For us, the slide sequence was Yellow → Red → Blue → Green → Orange. Press the buttons in this order to complete the color puzzle and move forward.

Enter the green tube slide and go up the stairs. Keep going further until you reach the area with the broken platform.

After you reach the broken platform, go around it to reach the light puzzle.

Left-click the neon green lights to absorb them, then turn around and left-click the unlit lights behind you to power them on and open the gates to continue.

After going through the yellow tube slide, turn right — you’ll come across another colorful button puzzle similar to the previous one.

Turn around and backtrack slightly to trigger the monster, which will start chasing you. Keep running until you reach the colorful slides — don’t let it catch you.

Slide down the colorful slides, then enter the red tube slide on the right to complete the hidden ending.
