What to know

  • You need two items: Ruins Key Right and Ruins Key Left to open the Bronze Gate in Moonlit Forest
  • One key comes from Zephyria during your Explorer certification progression
  • The other key is in Azure Bay, down below the bubble bridge area, inside a round wooden chest near the elevator
  • After you have both keys, return to the Bronze Gate near Mural Valley to open it

In Starsand Island, in order to open the Bronze Gate, you’ll need two keys. To get these, you’ll basically have to do two short tasks. Trigger the correct Explorer progression so the game awards you one key, then do a quick detour in Azure Bay to loot the other key from a chest near the lift.

Item you need How you get it Area Main landmark to look for
Ruins Key Right Received from Zephyria after starting the Intermediate Explorer certification/trial Near your farm area (NPC start) Zephyria (Explorer mentor)
Ruins Key Left Looted from a round wooden chest Moonlit Forest: Azure Bay Elevator down to the lower level (chest is nearby)

How to get the ruins key right from Zephyria

Step 1

Go to Zephyria and start the Intermediate Explorer certification/trial conversation.

Step 2

Finish the dialogue until the game awards you the key in your inventory (this is the key that’s tied to your Explorer progression).

Step 3

If you don’t see it immediately, check your inventory carefully and confirm you’re on the Intermediate Explorer path (this key is not meant to be found as random loot).

Rewards you get along the way

Activity Guaranteed key reward Other rewards
Intermediate Explorer certification start with Zephyria Ruins Key Right None that matter for this objective
Opening the Azure Bay chest near the elevator Ruins Key Left Extra materials from the chest

Opening the Bronze Gate

Step 1

Go back to the Bronze Gate area (the big locked gate near Mural Valley in Moonlit Forest).

Step 2

Interact with the gate once both keys are in your inventory.

Step 3

Proceed through the newly opened path to continue deeper into the ruins/forest progression.

Once you treat Zephyria as your required start point and Azure Bay as your quick chest detour, the whole process becomes a clean loop: talk to Zephyria, loot the Azure Bay chest near the elevator, then return to the Bronze Gate and open it.
