What to know:

  • Starbucks has launched in-app delivery service in the US and Canada as of November 11, 2024, powered by DoorDash.
  • Customers can now order delivery directly through the Starbucks app by toggling between Pickup and Delivery options.
  • The service offers about 95% of Starbucks’ core menu items with customization options and includes special packaging for delivery.

Starbucks has rolled out a new delivery service that brings your favorite coffee right to your doorstep. You can now order your morning brew or afternoon pick-me-up directly through the Starbucks app, marking a significant expansion of the company’s delivery capabilities.

When you open the Starbucks app, you’ll notice a new toggle feature at the top of the store selection screen that lets you switch between Pickup and Delivery options. If you’re within the delivery radius of a participating store, you can proceed with your order after entering your address.

As announced, the delivery service comes with a $1.99 fee unless you have DashPass. The company has thought carefully about the delivery experience, developing special packaging solutions including stickers for beverages to prevent spills, tamper-evident packaging, and delivery-specific cup holders to ensure your drinks arrive in perfect condition.

You can customize your orders just as you would in store, choosing everything from syrup amounts to milk types and espresso roasts. The service covers most of Canada, except for Quebec, where Skip handles deliveries.

This new feature builds on Starbucks’ existing delivery partnerships. While the company has been offering delivery through Uber Eats since spring 2020 and DoorDash since spring 2023, this integration into their own app creates a more seamless experience for regular customers.
