It has been more than 3 months now since Google officially released the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to its Nexuses and Android One devices. So other Android manufacturers are now picking up pace in updating their flagship devices the freshest release of Android.

We’re seeing Marshmallow firmware leaks every other week for premium flagship devices from various manufacturers. The latest to join in the leaks game is the Sprint variant of HTC One M9, for which the Android 6.0 Marshmallow firmware has been leaked on the XDA forums by Jm@n.

The Sprint One M9 Marshmallow update with Sense 7 comes with software version 3.33.651.2. You can grab it at the download link below and simply follow the instructions below to install the firmware.

Instructions:
  1. Download and unzip the Sprint_M9_Android_6.0.zip file on your PC.
  2. Transfer/copy the files to your Sprint One M9 as mentioned below:
    1. Copy the 0PJAIMG.zip file to the root of external storage.
    2. Copy the boot.img and system.img files to the root of internal storage.
    3. Copy SuperSU v2.62 to either internal or external storage.
  3. Boot your Sprint One M9 to download mode and let it update firmware.
  4. Boot into TWRP recovery, connect your device to PC and open a command window on the PC to run the following few ADB commands to flash boot and system images:
    adb shell enter
    dd if=/sdcard/boot.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/boot
    dd if=/sdcard/system.img of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system
  5. Flash SuperSU v2.62 from TWRP (transferred in Step 2.3).
  6. Reboot your phone.
    └ NOTE: Upon reboot, if TWRP asks to install SuperSU, select “Do NOT Install”.
