Sprint is rolling out a new software update to its Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ handsets which installs the June security patch on both the handsets. The OTA is arriving with the following builds:
- Sprint Galaxy S8: G950USQU1AQFJ
- Sprint Galaxy S8+: G955USQU1AQFJ
Sprint is admittedly pretty late to roll out the June security patch especially when most of the mid-range handsets from Samsung are already on the latest security patch — July.
Nevertheless, as the saying goes, it’s “better late than never.” For those of you who are wondering about specifics of the new update, it brings along with it several fixes alongside the June 2017 security patch.

Speaking of which, the issues surrounding the Find My Mobile have been fixed with the new update. There’s a fix for the LTE Roaming issues as well as SMS fix for “(/5)Ok.”
As is the case with all the OTA updates, it might take a while for the notification to pop up on your screen. If you can’t wait, however, go to Settings > About phone > System updates to check for the update manually.
