Sprint has been on a roll lately, providing new security updates to several devices. In the latest rollout, the carrier is seeding updates for a range of Samsung Galaxy devices. The Galaxy S7, S7 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, and the Note 8 are all getting the update.
All of the updates are available over-the-air right now and if you’ve got any of the devices mentioned above, then you should be seeing the notification. The updates install the November Android security patch on all the devices. The Galaxy S6 Edge+ also includes the KRACK vulnerability fix.

The software version for the Galaxy Note8 (N950U) is N950USQS2BQK3, for the Note 5 it’s N920PSPT3DQK1, for the Galaxy S7 it is G930PVPS5BQK1, for the Galaxy S7 Edge it’s G935PVPS5BQK1, and the for Galaxy S6 Edge+ it’s G928PSPT3DQK1.
Earlier today, Sprint also rolled out the November security update for the LG G5, G6, and the V20. AT&T too released an update for the Galaxy Note 8.
Before downloading the update, make sure your device is connected to a stable Wi-Fi network to avoid data charges. Also, it is important that the device has more than 50 percent charge when installing.
