It’s the middle of the month and thus the OEMs and telecom carriers are fastening their pace of releasing the latest monthly security patches to their unlocked and locked devices respectively. Catching in on the trend is Sprint which has started rolling out the March security patch to Samsung Galaxy S5 as an OTA update.
Samsung’s erstwhile flagship device, the Galaxy S5 is receiving the monthly update as firmware build number G900PVPU3CPEI which invariably installs the latest Android security patch. It further enhances device performance, brings in stability and regular bug fixes.
Although the update weighs slightly on the heaver side at 285.90MB, Sprint advises Galaxy S5 users to make a total of 4865MB space available in order to be able to download and install the new software update which can be done in two ways.

One can wait for the OTA notification to appear on their device and then download it or can check for it manually immediately. The latter option if chosen can be done by heading to Setting>>About device>>System Updates. However, before hitting the download button, one should ensure that their device is connected to a WiFi network and is sufficiently charged.
