The Galaxy S3 on Sprint is receiving an over the air update with software version L710VP13, highlights of which are “improved LTE connectivity” and “Inclusion of SWYPE keyboard”. While the former is a welcome improvement, it’s odd to see Samsung going back to including Swype by default, something which they stopped quite a while back, but considering how poor the proprietary keyboards of these manufacturers are, that is probably a good move.
The update brings the following changes and improvements:
- Inclusion of SWYPE keyboard
- Improved LTE connectivity
- SMS Messaging improvements
- EAS sync improvements
The update should be incoming on your Sprint Galaxy S3 but can take time, so you can manually check for it from the Software updates menu in Settings » About phone.
