It’s a little under two weeks since the Sprint Galaxy Note launch, and Sprint has announced the first software update for the phablet. The update will revise the software version to L900VPALJC, and will include the Multi-Window View feature that allows users to run two apps at the same time. Sprint says the update is being rolled out today, and all devices are expected to be updated over the next five days.
Other fixes and enhancements that are included are:
- GPS lock settings can be defaulted by corporate device administrators
- Emails go to Outbox when in no coverage area or airplane mode
- Text message notification will beep while in a voice call
Multi Window View can be managed by selecting Home > Menu > Settings > Display > select Multi Window or by pressing and holding the Back Key on the device. You should then be able to select the Multi Window View application tray from the tab on the side of the Home Screen. See screenshots below.
While the update is not a huge one, the Multi-view feature is sure to get Sprint Note 2 users excited. If you’re on Sprint and got newly Noted a couple of weeks ago, head over to Settings > System Update > Update Samsung Software > Check now on your device, get updated, and enjoy multi-window on your Galaxy Note 2.
