Sprint has released a new software update for the Samsung Galaxy J3. The update is being rolled out over-the-air right now. This is more of a security update, so there aren’t any new features as such.
The software version for the update is J320PVPS1ARA1 and it is for the Sprint variant of the Galaxy J3, which has the model number J320P. After installing the update, your device will have the latest January Android security patch.
Sprint has also included patches for the Spectre and Meltdown exploits, making this a recommended update. If you have received the update, make sure you’re connected to stable Wi-Fi before downloading. Also, it is best if your device has more than 50 percent charge when you install the software.
Samsung Android Oreo update release date
The Galaxy J3 is an old budget smartphone and currently runs on Android 5.1.1. It was released in January 2016 with a 5-inch 720p display, a Spreadtrum processor, 2GB of RAM, and an 8MP rear camera. It’s nice that Samsung is still providing security updates for older devices.
