We just talked about Chinese Galaxy Note 2 being found out at Wi-Fi certification program, now we have come to know about one more Samsung device at the same program, dubbed as SPH-P500 and listed under the category, Tablet. Now, the Samsung SPH series of devices are meant for Sprint – the carrier’s Galaxy S, S2 and S3 being D700, D710 and L710 – and we also know that Sammy uses P as prefix for tablets, so, this is surely one Android tablet we’re talking about here, that’s headed to Sprint.
Moreover, thanks to Antutu benchmarks listing, we also know that it indeed runs on Android 4.0.4, and sports Qualcomm’s 1.5 GHz dual-core S4 processor, with some other details that it supports LTE, and a score of 6343. The test lists the RAM as 1178 MB, which is around 1.15 GB, so I guess that’s a test unit here and the final unit of APH-P500 will come equipped with 1 GB of RAM.
Okay, here’s even more. Apart form the Wi-Fi certificate and Antutu Benchmark listing, there is a Bluetooth SIG listing too, which also categorises the SPH-P500 as mobile tablet, so in case you still had doubt about the SPH-P500 being Sprint’s Galaxy Note 2 (since we didn’t see one for Sprint when other 3 variants passed through FCC), it should be settled now. Further, as per Wi-Fi certificate, it is compatible with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n only, while the compatibility of Galaxy Note is, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n.
