Sony didn’t say a single word about its upcoming flagship phone, Xperia Z4, at the CES 2015. But the company did show us its new Hi-Fi portable music player, the Walkman. And the comeback of brand Walkman in the age of smartphones strike us with only one thought, a Walkman phone powered by Android.
That’s exactly what the rumor mills have brought us today. Word on the street is that a Walkman phone is coming and it’ll be branded alongside Sony’s upcoming flagship as a music dedicated variant, named Xperis Z4 Music.
The device will have Hi-Res music experience with playback support for DSD, WAV, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC and many more audio formats. Xperia Z4 Music will have S-Force PRO Front Surround Speaker and the following audio modes: ClearAudio+/DSEE HX/5-band EQ/VPT/Dynamic Normalizer/DPC.
Other than the music prowess of the device, Xperia Z4 Music specs include a 4.0 inch TRILUMINOS IPS screen with a display resolution of 1440×720 pixels (368 PPI), 8MP camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 3GB RAM and 32GB/128GB of internal storage.
Also, even after packing all those high-end specs and a Hi-Res music experience, the Xperia Z4 Music is surprisingly thin at only 8.9mm thickness and weighs just about 133.5 grams. The device will be available in Black, Silvery, Purple, Gold and Green color.
A Sony Walkman phone with Hi-Res music experience sounds very interesting to our ears, what’s your opinion? Let us know in the comments below..
