The Sony Xperia XZ Premium was made available for pre-order earlier this year but was said to start shipping in June, and June is now here – which means that it’s showtime for the Sony XZ Premium to land in the UK.
According to the Sony Mobile Estore page, the Xperia XZ Premium is now available for purchase for £649.00. While you can order an XZ Premium in UK right away, Sony estimates that the stock would arrive in 4 days approximately. So, yeah, this is product-launch with ‘Out of stock’ status, which is indeed pretty awkward.
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is aptly named, bringing a 5.5-inch TRILUMINOUS display with 4K resolution, Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of on-board storage with a microSD card slot for up to an additional 256GB of storage, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both front and back with IP65/68 water and dust resistance.
There’s a 19MP camera on the back on XZ Premium which comes with a tech Sony has dubbed as ‘Motion Eye’, that can record super slow motion videos at whopping 960FPS. The Xperia XZP is powered by a 3,230mAh battery which features Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 — not QC 4.0 here, though, despite SD835 in use — and Google’s Android 7.1 Nougat with Sony’s Xperia UI pre-installed. The Sony Xperia XZ Premium is also available in both Deepsea Black and Luminous Chrome colors.
In addition, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium brings another key feature to the table: Predictive Capture. Similar to a feature found on a number of smartphones, the new Predictive Capture can gather a few frames of time before you press the shutter button.
If you’re interested, the device is also available at Carphone Warehouse UK in Deepsea Black. Now that the device has landed in the UK, Sony is expected to bring the Xperia XZ Premium to South Korea this week and India in the coming days.
