Sony has packed in quite a heavy briefcase which it is unpacking at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. And every time Sony opens it to unpack, out comes a new device. Till now four have slid out- Xperia XA Premium, Xperia XZs (which we have discussed in another post) and Xperia XA1, Xperia XA1 Ultra, on which further light will be thrown here.

These camera-centric smartphones are successors to the 2016 launched Xperia XA and XA Ultra. The new devices do share some similarity with their predecessors viz edge-to-edge displays. Both the phones flaunt an impressive 23MP rear cameras and while Xperia XA1 retains a modest 8MP front shooter, the premium XA1 Ultra goes on to boast a 16MP selfie snapper.
