Sony announced its latest SmartPhone Sony Xperia T3 today, with the tag line Stand out from the crowd. The features of this device looks apt for the Sony’s tagline and looks like the device is set to launch in the mid-range section of Sony SmartPhones.
Sony Xperia T3 is crafted in a stainless steel frame, with a dedicated camera key and Sony’s signature rounded power button and holds a light and ultra-slim design. At 7 mm thickness, the manufacturers claim that this device is the slimmest handset for a 5.3 inch device. But we’ve already seen a 5.5 mm thick device from Chinese manufacturer Gionee dubbed Gionee Elife 5.5 whose screen is of 5 inch which comes pretty close to Sony Xperia T3, so the 7 mm thickness is not a great achievement to boast off.
The device packs a 5.3-inch HD 720p Triluminous display that is backed by Sony’s home-grown Bravia Engine 2. The camera on Xperia T3 is 8 MP featuring Exmor lens for mobile which support HDR video recording. The company boasts of the SteadyShot technology, to produce smooth and distortion-less pictures from the rear snapper.
Sony Xperia T3 is powered by a Quad core CPU (unknown chipset) clocked at 1.4 GHz, which is backed by a 2500 mAh battery to suffice all the power needs of the device. The device support super-fast 4G networks which is definitely future proof. The Xperia however comes with the latest Xperia UI based on Android 4.4.2 KitKat which has been already featuring on many Sony devices. The device comes with some pre-loaded Xperia apps to provide more customized look taking away the true Vanilla flavor.
