The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua that went official at MWC 2015 earlier this week is now available for pre-order in the European market. The device is suggested to retail for a pricing of €279 that is relatively lower than the actual price announced by Sony — €299.
Well, Amazon Germany has started accepting pre-orders for the Xperia M4 Aqua for the above mentioned pricing of €279, and this is pricing of the unlocked units of the device. The customers can also choose the color option of the smartphone between black and white.
Though the Xperia M4 Aqua is similar to the yesteryear flagship smartphone Xperia Z3, it is a mid-range smartphone and hence it is made of quality plastic instead of metal. But, the device comes with the IP68 certification that makes it water and dust resistant. Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Sony smartphone makes use of a 64 bit octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM.
Storage department of the Xperia M4 Aqua comprises of 16 GB of native storage space that can be further expanded using a micro SD card slot. There is a 13 MP main camera with Full HD 1080p video recording onboard the device and a front facing 5 MP HD 7200 selfie snapper as well. A 2,400 mAh battery powers the smartphone from within rendering up to 2 days of backup with the Battery Stamina mode enabled.
Sony has announced that the Xperia Z4 Aqua will be launched in around 80 countries across the world this Spring. With the cheaper pre-order pricing of the device in Germany, it remains to be seen if the same thing will happen in the other markets as well.
