Sony Xperia E5 gets October security patch, build 37.0.A.2.156

The Sony Xperia E5 is receiving a new software update with the October security patch. The update is based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and the software version is 37.0.A.2.156.

If you own the Xperia E5, this is a recommended update and you must install it. However, other manufacturers have already started seeding December security updates. And Sony is quite behind with this one.

The E5 is a budget smartphone and has a 5-inch 720p display, a MediaTek MT6735 processor, 1.5GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera, 5MP front cam, and a 2300mAh battery. The phone was launched with Android 6.0 and will most likely never get the Nougat update, at least officially.

Before you install this security update, make sure the phone has enough charge and is connected to a WiFi or cellular network. You can check out the source link for a video on the latest security update. Have you got the update yet?
