Sony has announced its latest offering in the wireless earbud market: the WF-C510. These tiny tech marvels pack a punch without breaking the bank, retailing at a wallet-friendly $59.99.
The WF-C510 earbuds are Sony’s smallest closed-type earbuds to date, designed to nestle comfortably in ears of all sizes. Despite their diminutive stature, these little listeners don’t skimp on features. The earphones can go for 11 hours on a single full charge, with the charging case providing an additional 11 hours of juice. A quick 5-minute charge yields an hour of listening time.
These buds are sweat-proof and splash-resistant, which earns them the IPX4 water resistance rating.
Unlike their predecessors, the WF-C500 (which are still my favorite budget buds), the WF-C510 supports multipoint connection, allowing users to connect to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. No more fumbling to switch between your phone and laptop – these earbuds have got you covered.
Sony hasn’t forgotten about sound quality either. The WF-C510 comes equipped with DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) technology, which aims to boost the quality of compressed music files, enabled from Sony’s Headphone Connect app. For those who like to fine-tune their listening experience, the app allows for custom EQ settings.
Another upgrade comes in the form of Ambient Sound Mode, keeping you aware of your surroundings while you groove to your favorite tracks. A Voice Focus feature helps isolate human voices, making these buds handy for calls on the go.
Available in a quartet of colors – blue, yellow, black, and white – the WF-C510 earbuds are now up for pre-order. Eager listeners can expect shipments to start rolling out in early September.
With the WF-C510, Sony seems to be hitting all the right notes, offering a feature-rich earbud experience at a price point that won’t have you singing the blues. It’s a clear signal that high-quality audio doesn’t always have to come with a high-end price tag.
