The Android powered ultra thin Sony 4K TVs were claimed to be released in May this year. However, there has been a delay and it is said that they will be hitting the retail shelves in July.
The Sony 4K Android TV measures 55 inches and carries a thickness of 4.7 mm in the X900C series and it is priced at $2,499. On the other hand, the 65 inch variant of the device is priced at $3,999 and the 75 inch model is priced at $5,400 respectively.
Slated to be launched this summer, these ultra thin Sony 4K TVs running the Android platform will be available via Amazon, Best Buy and other Sony retailers and online stores.
Apart from these three models in the X900C series from Sony, even the smart TVs launched in the BRAVIA lineup this year will also run on Android TV. The TVs will feature X1 image processor that will enhance the colors and the dynamic range of 4K content.
