The name Smartisan doesn’t ring a bell for the general public. The Chinese OEM has been in the smartphone game for about four years now and its latest Android mobile phone, the Smartisan Nut Pro, is pretty attractive piece if you ask us. The same Nut Pro handset is receiving its first OTA update today, arriving as as v3.6.2, both for model no. OD103 and OD105.
The Smartisan Nut Pro device carries a pretty good specsheet. The Smartisan Nut Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 625 SoC for the 32GB variant, while its variants with high storage options, 64GB and 128GB, come packing Snapdragon 626 processor.
The front of the Smartisan Nut Pro has a 5.5-inch 1080p display and the device gets its juice from an ample 3500mAh battery pack. The back of the device also houses dual 13MP shooters which are capable of using Optical Character Recognition by default.

On the design front, the Nut Pro carries sharp corners and is based on an all metal build. Under the screen lies a circular fingerprint sensor. The device runs on Smartisan OS which has a clean spacious look and feel to it. Obviously, the skin running atop Android is far from stock, but there are plenty of useful features packed in.
The Smartisan Nut Pro starts retailing at 1499 Yuan ($217) and goes till 2299 Yuan ($333) for the maxed out variant.
