One of the earliest secrets players stumble upon in Silksong is the Moss Druid, a mysterious figure tucked away in the greenery of Mosshome. Reaching this character and completing the berry-gathering quest feels like a small adventure of its own, blending platforming challenges with exploration and rewarding curiosity with a unique amulet.
How to reach the Moss Druid
If you’re beginning your search from Bone Bottom, move to the right until you find a climbing path upwards. Continue right to enter the Overgrown Village within Moss Grotto. Look for green overgrowth and subtle, glowing smoke outside a small cave—which heralds the Moss Druid’s lair. The shortcut lever found earlier in the area can ease traversal, but if it’s not unlocked, break a weak spot in the ground and loop past a gate to continue forward.
There’s a bench nearby that can be unlocked for 30 Rosaries, giving you a safe point to rest and save. Once past the bench, climb and move right to locate the cave entrance. The Druid will be there, cackling over a simmering pot.
Locating the three Mossberries
To complete the Berry-Picking Wish, collect three Mossberries:
First Mossberry
Deep in Moss Grotto, use the floating platforms in an early room. Jump up and right onto larger ledges, and there it is—glowing and hanging from a branch. A straightforward slash brings it down.
Second Mossberry
Higher in Moss Grotto, one glimmers from a branch near the ceiling. Use a pogo-style tactic—down-strike a flying bug to launch Hornet upward, then quickly slash upward to snag the berry.
Third Mossberry
Just beneath the Druid’s hideout: exit his cave, drop down, and in the next room head right. A hidden entry leads to a cave with a bug clutching the last berry. Defeat it to claim your prize.
Optionally, a fourth Mossberry lies hidden in Bone Bottom, accessible via a lift near the chapel—but only three are needed for the quest.
Completing the quest and claiming the reward
Upon delivering the three Mossberries, the Druid presents the Druid’s Eye amulet—equipped at a bench, it weeps green elixir upon taking hits, generating Silk. A useful boon for Silk-hungry builds early on.
Silksong’s quest system nudges you toward exploration—and the Druid’s quest exemplifies that. You revisit familiar Moss Grotto terrain with fresh eyes and new skills. The pogo trick to reach the second Mossberry feels like a rewarding puzzle to learn. And the Druid’s Eye isn’t just neat—it can reshape your approach to Silk management right from the start.
Collecting the Mossberries and unlocking the Druid’s Eye feels like a rite of spring in Silksong’s vibrant world—each step teaching movement, curiosity, and reward.
