Nvidia pleasantly surprised us all with another update for Shield TV yesterday, the previous one being just a month ago. The update has various enhancements and optimizations with dual vibration Rumble support being the most important.
For the uninitiated, GeForce NOW is an on-demand service that connects you to NVIDIA’s cloud-gaming supercomputers to stream PC games to your SHIELD device at up to 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. The GeForce Now experience gets to whole new immersive level with advanced vibration control inputs and feedback thanks to Rumble.
According to the changelog, you can feel free to test rumble support on various titles such as Tomb Raider, ABZÛ, and LEGO Star Wars The Force Awakens.
Full Changelog:
- Amazon Video enhancements for surround sound as well as remote control responsiveness.
- Support for encrypted VP9 with subsampling.
- Enhanced system performance and stability.
- Rumble Support for GeForce NOW.
