Sony Ericsson has launched its new Xperia Ray in US in unlocked contract-free form. Since it’s a GSM phone, you can use it worldwide on any GSM network by just changing the SIM card. In US, both AT&T support Xperia Ray but only AT&T would get you 3G service since T-Mobile’s bands aren’t supported by Ray.
The Ray features a 3.3-inch touchscreen display which fits perfectly inside the aluminium body of Ray, the touchscreen may not be gigantic but it does fit well in your Denims than other bigger phones. Xperia Ray is powered by 1GHz snapdragon processor and the Adreno 205 GPU and has 512MB RAM, 1GB inbuilt memory (300MB available for user apps).
And on top of that, Xperia Ray has an 8.1-megapixel camera with Auto-Focus and LED flash, capable of 720p video recording — moreover, SE’s camera app is considered the best by many.
The Xperia Ray is available in US at SE stores and will soon be available via online retailers for the cool $425.
