NenaMark benchmark results of the Verizon Galaxy S3, SCH-I535, have appeared online, which indicate that the dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor will be powering the Verizon variant of the S3 as well, like the Sprint variant. The Qualcomm Adreno 225 GPU mentioned in the benchmark is the biggest pointer towards the possibility of the S4 processor.
Though the news will come as a disappointed for those hoping to get their hands on the quad-core Exynos 4212 powered Galaxy S3, it isn’t really a surprise seeing as how all the 4G LTE-enabled phones come with Snapdragon processors in the US.
The SCH-I535 will have a 720p (1280×720) display and will be running on Android 4.0.4 as seen in the image above. The release date isn’t known as of now, but sometime in June is a possibility according to previous rumors. Stay tuned for more info in the near future. Till then, let’s pray that at least the Rogers Galaxy S3 comes with the Exynos processor, as rumored before.
