Samsung announced Bixby along with its flagship devices Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. Bixby is currently available on these two devices only. However, a new report suggests that Samsung is working on a Bixby powered speaker.
Wait. What? Yup, that’s right. The Bixby powered speaker is codenamed ‘Vega’ and will complete with AI-powered speakers from Amazon, Google, Apple, and Microsoft. Currently, Amazon ‘Echo’ and Google ‘Home’ hold the AI speaker market.

The news regarding Bixby powered speaker doesn’t impress much at this point because Bixby Voice is still not available in the English language. It works with Korean language only.
Although Samsung has released the Beta version of Bixby Voice with support for English language for registered American users, there is no news about the public version.

Everybody knew that due to lack of big data with Samsung, Bixby Voice would face several issues and that is exactly what’s happening. We just hope that by the time Samsung announces the Bixby powered speaker they are ready with English language for the Vega speaker.
To develop Bixby powered speaker, Samsung Electronics has acquired an audio-visual equipment company, Haman Kadon, which participated in Microsoft’s Invoke development program.
