Since the launch of the Galaxy S9, Samsung has tried its best to make the Augmented Reality Emojis as mainstream as possible. While the 2018 flagship was a leader in its time, this year’s Galaxy S10 devices have taken the AR Emoji game to a whole new level.
Features like Mask mode, Mini motion, and Live figure have been widely appreciated, but the Samsung Galaxy S10 AR Emoji development team has no intention of stopping any time soon.
In a Samsung Newsroom blog post, the developers have revealed their plans for the future, and they certainly are worth looking forward to.
Currently, the AR Emoji is mainly used in messaging and on social media, but the future promises to be a lot more inclusive. The developers have expressed the desire to incorporate the AR Emoji into Bixby to create a “personified visual assistant” and maybe even let users add their avatars in games.
Developers have also admitted that they are working on adding more popular characters, artificial limbs, tattoos, makeup, and more inclusive options to the supported Galaxy devices.
Sadly, they didn’t reveal a tentative release date, so we’ll just have to keep an eye out for Samsung’s announcements. For what it is worth, we won’t be surprised if this coincides the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus launch.
