It’s been a month since Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A6 and the device is already getting some love as far as software updates are concerned.
The Galaxy A6 is receiving a software update that installs firmware version A600GNUBU1ARDA and with it comes the latest monthly security patch for the month of May 2018. Even though the handset was launched alongside the Galaxy A6 Plus, we are yet to notice an update rolling out to the Plus variant.

It’s not the Galaxy A6 alone that’s receiving an update to May 2018 security patches, but also the budget Galaxy J2 Ace, also known as Galaxy J2 Prime (2016), which is receiving an update with software version G532GDDU1ARD1.
Both updates are rolling out over the air, which means it will take time before all Galaxy A6 and J2 Ace units receive the OTA notification to download it. While you have the option to wait, you can also try forcing the update via Settings > About phone > Software update and download the update manually.
