Shortly after the release of Samsung Galaxy A5 and A7 2017 series in India, the Galaxy A7 2016 variant now seems to be all set to receive its Nougat update. The device version SM-A710F has just been spotted running Android 7.0 Nougat on the popular benchmarking site Geekbench.
The Galaxy A7 is a metal and glass built device with 5.2-inch Full-HD SAMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, and 13-megapixel rear cameras with f/1.9 aperture and OIS. It also supports 16GB of expandable internal storage and dual SIM slots. The 2,900 mAh battery is also a major highlight for the device with support for fast charging. The phone originally came out with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Samsung’s TouchWiz skin.
With Nougat around the corner for the device, we expect a significant improvement in battery life thanks to Nougat’s improved doze feature. Nougat also brings you a whole load of features including a revamped settings menu, Vulkan API and other performance improvements.
